Shane Pransky
Whitehouse Primary
4th Grade
Parents,
I will send a separate e-mail reminding you and your child how they are getting home tomorrow. If there are any changes in this, please call the school. We have a lot of pick-ups on that day and it will be a little chaotic, so please communicate with our secretaries about your plans if they need to change. Thank you!
Party. See your child's take home folder for more information about this:
My son Aiden Smith is in Mr. Pransky's class this year and we have always invited our children's class to a large 'end of school year party' at our home (not a birthday party, just a celebration). Since it is Aiden's last year in Whitehouse Primary, he would like to invite the entire grade. Please email or call anytime if you have questions, and we hope to see
you Friday!-Mr. Pransky

Mrs. Manos's retirement. I am still collecting letters wishing Mrs. Manos well in her retirement. These can be e-mailed or sent to school with your child. We are having her retirement party this Thursday so any letters or donations for her gift that could be turned in before that time would be appreciated.

Parents,
Mystery solved! Today we culminated a very fun mystery unit by solving "The Mystery of the Baseball Diamond." The student deciphered codes, solved riddles, unscrambled puzzles and followed clues to find the diamond. Ask your child about it.
Behavior. Behavior and responsibility was not very good overall this week. Of course, this may not apply to your child individually. (See ClassDojo for more information on this.) Still, I would appreciate it if you could please remind your child that the expectations for the last two weeks of school are the same as for the rest of the school year. It is important to remember to complete homework, follow directions, listen, and be kind to one another each day.

Parents,
Forms to be returned. I have attached some of the forms that need to be returned to school for the Fun Fest Day and for Bike Hike. Please return these this week if possible. Thank you.
End of year expectations. As the the end of the year approaches, teachers and students must contend with the inevitable spread of "spring fever." While many students are involved in spring sports and activities, it is important to stress with your child that their schoolwork still needs to take priority. You can help send this message to your child by setting aside time each evening for homework to be completed. I reminded students today that fun, non-academic activities such as Fun Fest, Talent Show, Bike Hike, or other fun events can be taken away if a child is not consistently not completing their school work. You can help your child by structuring your their time and giving them encouragement and reminders that are needed to get their work complete.

Parents,
Bike Hike. Today, permission slips for Bike Hike were sent home. Please review these carefully and sign and return sometime next week. I am concerned because I have many students who do not have helmets. These are required to ride on Bike Hike day.
Art Fair. This is Saturday at the high school. Come check out your child's artwork and many other great pieces from around the school district.
Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day this Sunday. Talking to the students about their moms today, I smiled listening to all of the nice things they had to say. You mean so much to your child.
