2-20-13 Daily Update

Parents, 

Science challenge.  In Science today, we read and did some demonstrations to learn about surface tension which is the property of water molecules to attract to one another.  I gave the students an extra credit at-home experiment to try.  It is to try to use surface tension to "float" a paper clip on top of water.  If they are able to do it, take a picture of your child with the paperclip and either e-mail it to me or print it and bring it to school.  An example is attached.  Successful attempts will be posted to the class webpage and will receive 5 extra credit points.

• Movie night is Friday.  Turn in forms this week.
