10-22-12 Daily Update

Parents,

We had a fun visit from the Anthony Wayne Marching Generals this morning.  It made for a spirited way to start our Monday!

This Wednesday is the last day for your child to meet their end of the quarter AR goal (100% of points) to earn our class pizza party reward.  The party will be the following Wednesday, October 31 during lunch.  By the way, if any other parents would like to donate a 2 liter drink for this party, it would be appreciated.  I usually need 3 and have 1 offered right now.

We are starting a new Math unit on Data and Graphs over the next two weeks.  Students should be using this time to master multiplication facts at home.  In November, we will begin multiplication of greater numbers.  If students do not know their basic facts quickly, this will be a real challenge.  It is crucial to practice these at home a little each night over this time.

Reminders:

• The class party is Friday, October 26.  Students who are on the planning party will organize some games and party activities next week.
