Science Test. Students/Parents can use this link to see the results of their Science Practice test on Moodle.
Culture Boxes project. Unfortunately, many students did not turn in their list of 5 items for their culture box project today.(See the post immediately following this one 
) On the culture box project packet, dates and assignments are listed for each phase of the project. The next part of the project is to write one paragraph about each item on index cards. This is due next Thursday, March 14th.
Responsibility. As a class we discussed today the importance of staying organized, planning ahead, and being responsible. I don't know if it was the day off from school or the potential of snow on Wednesday, but the students as a whole have been very irresponsible this week. The phrase "I forgot" has been being used a lot. I reminded them that they are almost fifth graders now and that as they go through school each year, more will be expected of them. It is important for your child to develop good homework habits now so that the transition to the Middle School will be positive for them. I would appreciate any help you can give at home helping your child develop these positive work habits at home. Let's help get everyone back on the right track.
Geometry List #1. Your child is learning about Geometry in Math right now. To help learn all of the vocabulary, our next two lists will be Geometry terms. These tests will count as both a math and a spelling grade. ON the test, the word will be read and the child will need to find the matching picture and spell the term correctly next to it. Students have a baggie of flashcards to help study for this.
WPC Fundraiser night. The WPC is hosting a fundraiser night at Granite City tonight. (Sorry, I forgot to mention the day in yesterday's e-mail) 10% of sales will be donated to the Whitehouse Parent's Club. Be sure to mention the Whitehouse Parent's Club to your server. What a nice way to enjoy great food and drink and help contribute to our school.
