9-11-12 daily Update

Parents, 

Today we discussed Patriot Day, which is a day of remembrance of 9/11.

This week we will be completing our fall benchmark testing in Reading, Math, and Writing.  I will be sending you home copies of your child's results later this week.

Earlier this year I discussed with students that e-readers such as the Kindle, Nook, etc... are allowed to be brought to school for reading purposes only.  (No game playing and they will not be able to access the internet).  These items may be brought with the understanding that the child is solely responsible for its care.  I do not recommend bringing in any device that is too valuable (like an iPad) or that you worry your child could lose, break, or have stolen.

Reminders:

• Scholastic book orders will be due Sep 21.  Online order or sending a check are fine.
• Pictures went home last Friday if you had them taken at registration
• Movie night forms can be turned in this week.  The movie is "The Lorax"
• Soul Shop is this week.  This is our Peace Making/Anti Bullying program.
